Cut Line
Well its week 12, week 2 of the cut line......I have 4 - Q teams left and 1 - Vegas Bracket team left. Here is how they stand this week. 3 of my Q teams will make it in the fourth is needing some help. My Tier team is the one that I am worried about. I have a little over 91 points with Wes Welker to play tonight. With the cut line at 89 and some high scoring between the Saints and the Pats the cut line could move up fast. I am holding my breath....but lets face it this will be exciting.................To Be Continued.............

I suck
Well I have not posted in a while this is due to the fact that I suck. I have 48 teams all together this year. I was hoping to qualify about 1/4 of them to their championship games, giving me about 12 teams in their championship games and if I could win half of those I would have 6 teams in the Vegas and Qschool brackets. Well sad to say that I only have 2 powerhouse teams that will easily win their leagues. And about 7 that should make week 10. The rest of my teams are bullsh*t. This has been a wacky year so far I had one team go 0-6 to start and is now 6-6 and just 2 games out of it. I had another team that was in the top 50 after weeks 1 & 2 now sitting in 7th in my league. The one mistake I made this year is drafting so many teams. It is very hard to manage 48 teams. I should have kept the number to about 10 teams. With 48 teams I miss things from time to time, like last week when I sat Visante and Played Witten. WTF....With last minute injuries and news its just too hard for me to play 48 teams. Some of you other more experiencd players may be able too but not this guy. So I have learned more this year and hope to come back stronger next year. Unless my 2 powerhouse teams get on a roll...................We shall see

Week 2
Week two was not as kind to Team Boogs. I had a few good teams this week but mostly bad. So without further adue here is my nest team this week.
QB - Aaron Rodgers - Ok week, no completions to Greg Jennings means less points
RB - Micheal Turner - Good week, what I expected from him when I drafted him
RB - Chris Johnson - Great week, This guy will have great weeks this year and average
WR - Dwayne Bowe - He is solid
WR - Eddie Royal - Very dissapointed so far in Royal
WR - Laverneous Coles - Better week than firts week - Could trun out to be a good WR3
TE - Dallas Clark- I know when Gonzales went down he would get more looks....but WOW
OP - David Garrard - Solid week in a loss for his team
K - Ryan Longwell - Does the job as a kicker
DST - New York Jets - Great defense this year
So total points just over 170 points. Alot of my other teams need to pick it up.

The first week
What I am going to do for the first few weeks of this blog is list my best team for the week points wise. So here is my highest scoring team for the week. Along with my thoughts on the players performance for the week
Qb - Matt Schaub - He sucked the big one
RB - Adrian Peterson - What can I say, he is the best
RB - Reggie Bush - He looks to scared out there don't like him
WR -Greg Jennings - He is awsome
WR - Reggie Wayne - He did all he could and will have many games like this, he is gold
WR - Dwayne Bowe - About what I expected, the only bright spot on the Chiefs
TE - Dalls Clark - Not a good week for him, with Gonzales down he should get more looks
OP - Carson Palmer - He sucked the bog one also
K - Nick Folk - He is a kicker, what do you want from me, I remembered to start one
DST - Philadelphia Eagles - What can I say this weeks MVP
Overall 170 points, not bad for week one. I need Palmer and Schaub to step it up or I will be dead with this team. The odds are that Philly won't score that well agin. I will play the same line up next week except for benching Bush in favor on Cedric Benson

Sunday
Finally its the first Sunday of the 2009 football season. I am very happy that this day has arrived. Last year I had one team in the FFOC this year I went a little overboard drafting 35 Q-School teams and 13 Tier teams. I got a little obsessed with drafting this year. The one problem I am going to have is managing 48 teams. What did I get myself into! Well its not really going to be that big of a problem since I am obsessed with this whole thing, I am on here for a few hours everyday anyway, at least now I have something to do. Of my 48 teams I have about 6 six teams that I hate, 14 teams that will have to wait and see on and the rest I love. With 48 teams I had the luxury of going every way imaginable. For the teams I like the most I went QB`s and WR`s early and RB`s late. I think that to win you need to play 2 stud QB`s with at least 2 stud WR`s and find some RB`s later than can be this years Matt Forte. So on my teams with the stud QB`s and WR`s I took guys like Chris Wells, Donald Brown, Ray Rice in the later rounds and was able to get Ronnie Brown, Ryan Grant, Pierre Thomas, Kevin Smith in rounds 5 and 6.
For my WR3 I was targeting a few players that I was able to get in the 9 to 13 rounds. Those players are Derrick Mason, Santonio Holmes Santana Moss and Donnie Avery. I really like the firts two as WR3`s. With all the teams I like alot the one thing that they all have in common is an elite TE. Either Witten, Gates, Gonzo, or Clark. So we will see what the outcome of my drafts and my stategies turn out this year.
Good luck to you all and let the games begin

What I have learned
We are about a week away from the start of the NFL season. This has been an interesting offseason. So far there has been the Brett Farve saga, the Micheal Vick signing, the Plaxico sentencing, Oh yeah and the preseason games. So what have I learned so far this offseason. The first thing I have learned is that I know longer like nor want to hear about Brett Farve anymore. Does Brett think he is bigger than the game?. What burns me most about Brett is how most of the NFL people that I hear talk anout Farve think the guy can still play. I do know one thing right now Aaron Rodgers is a way better than Brett, so cheers to you Green Bay for making the right choice. I hope that Brett has a horrible season, gets benched and goes away. The second thing I have learned is that I thought I would not like Micheal Vick anymore but the guy so far in my opinion is trying and I kind of hope he has a good year. The third thing that I have learned is that I think Plaxico got what he deserved. He pretty much got sentenced for being STUPID. When you are a highly paid professional athelete then maybe you should not go anywhere that you feel you may need a gun to protect yourself. Good job New York for creating a law then sticking to it no matter what the status of the convicted. The last thing I have learned is that it gonna be a awsome year in the NFL. So many more questions will be answered and so many more laws will be broken.
Some final messages to certain players.
To Pacman Jones, " If you get cut from Dallas call Buffalo, if they won't take you, its over dude"
To Marshawn Lynch " You have 3 games to think about what you have done during this free time, try and stay out of trouble"
To Micheal Vick " Cock fighting rings are out too, Sorry man"
To Brett Farve " If you throw more than 22 interceptions retire, (That should make sure he is gone he threw 20 last year)" But more importantly JUST RETIRE
And finally to TO " You play for Buffalo now.............Sorry man"

Well I am back from Vegas. Man I love that city. So much can happen there that it almost seems unreal. Here is a run down of what happened.
Day 1.
Arrived in Vegas at 6pm. Checked in to Treasure Island, Showered, Changed, Hit the bar. Sat at the downstairs bar for 2 beers then went for dinner at some Mexican place at TI. Probably the best Mexican food I have ever had. A few more beers with dinner. Then it was off to Casino Royal ( Cheapest drinks on the strip ) Stumbled out of Casino Royal at 4am. While at Casino Royal I won $100, Was approached by two escorts, met countless people from all over the US, Got hit on by a 50 plus woman with bad teeth, and drank enough booze to kill a small village. The last thing I remember about day 1 was waking up passed out in a chair outside the elevator with potato chips all over me. It was a great night.
Day 2.
Woke up at 10am, feeling like Sh@T. Ate some breakfast took a shower then it was off to shoot some guns. Took a cab to a place called the Gun Store. At the Gun store you can pick a package of different guns to shoot. I chose a 45 automatic, A sniper rifle, A machine gun, and a 12 guage shot gun. Pretty awsome stuff. After the Gun Store we caught a cab back to TI. When we got in the cab the driver said were are you guys from we replied Canada, he said oh too bad then you probably know nothing about Football. This is when my buddy just smiled as I took the guy to school with my football knowledge. When we got back to TI we changed left and started to dink again. That evening we went to PURE night club at Caesars Palace. This is the part that will apply to the whole " What happens in Vegas" applies.
Day 3
More drinking, Went to see big Elvis followed by midget Elvis. Went for an awsome Steak dinner. The to Mystere at TI for a show. Then more drinking at Mist at TI. Then off to bed as we had to leave for the Airport at 7am.
My Vegas plan is always the same Hit Hard for 3 or 4 days then get out.
Did I mention that every 8 minutes or so during the trip I either heard someone talking about Farve coming back or saw Farve on TV with "Breaking News" written on the screen.
Then one night on TV I saw some garbage about Shaque VS Big Ben .....WTF
Hopefully I can get back to Vegas in a few months at the expense on the FFOC

Las Vegas
Well it's official.......Wait for it.......Team Boogs is going to Vegas. That my friends is a guarantee. You might ask yourself how can this guy be so sure that he is going to Vegas. Well the answer is simple. Its a four step process, follow along closely and you too can go to Vegas...Guaranteed.
Step 1. Join The FFOC
Pretty easy so far.
Step 2. Draft a team
Still with me
Step 3. Print off your team
No to hard so far.
Step 4. This is the most important step so pay attention.
Call your travel agent and book a trip to Vegas.
Thats it folks.....I am leaving for Vegas this week with Team Boogs in tow.
There was no luck involved just cold hard cash.
In my next post I will talk more about how Team Boogs did in Vegas......Vegas Baby,
This is Team Boogs third trip to Vegas.....................To be continued......

Sunday Night Football
Sunday Night football is back. This Sunday I can't wait to watch the Sunday night game, its The Bills VS The Titans. Even though the starters will only play a quarter or two, Just to be able to watch the opening music and effects is enough to get the old juices flowing. The presaon will be underway. Questions will be answered. Will your July gambles pay off ? Buckle your seat belts and let the preseason begin,

Forums
I have to admit it, I am on the FFOC forums more often then I should be. The only problem with the forums is that I am starting to get very tired of all the stupid posts. I get sucked into these posts too. So if you are guilty of stupidity on these posts I understand. Football is still over a month away and I am already getting tired of hearing about it. I think I did too may July drafts and have read and posted too many topics on the forums. Its August 1st and I need a break. That is sad but true. I actually think that there is a plot among the more established Fantasy Football players on the FFOC. What theses players are trying to with their posts is try and make all of us a little dumber after we read their posts. If that is what you are trying to do you are succeeding, I feel a little stupider every time I read some of the posts on the forums. This year I am playing 7 tier one teams, 2 tier two teams, and 15 Q-school teams. I read the forums daily and my IQ is dropping each day. Too bad we all are not a little more intelligent, with more interesting things to say. The forums are full of Bi-polar, Look at me, Smart ass, and a few intelligent people. I would fall somewhere in the middle. I am just a guy who loves the game of football. I am also a guy who is sick of talking about it and just wants the games to begin. After all its just speculation at this point anyway. Heck they haven't even played a preseason game yet. So what I am going to do is take a week off from football. Clear my head and comeback with a game plan. Which I need cause my drafts are getting worse. I need to regain the intelligence that I have lost somewhere. Keep posting your endless drival so maybe during my next draft I can draft against a player who has lost their edge.

My Game Plan
I am about to do something I probably should not. I am going to share my game plan, not only for the draft but for the inseason management as well. This is top secret and could ruin my chances but here goes. When I draft I select the best available player at the position I need. Very sneaky don't you think. Then during the regular season I start the best available player at each position. I always start my studs. I only worry about matchups when it comes to by weeks and my bench. I know there is a guy on the board who keeps saying that if he had started Andre Johnson in week 15 he would have won the million. Let me say if I had Andre Johnson in my line up he would start every week regardless of who he is playing. Your best players are your best players and you should start them. Fifty percent of Andre Johnson is better than most of the WR's in the league. Last year I had some problems with starting players because I had three studs at RB, then I played matchups. If I have AP on any of my teams this year he will always get the start. Last year I won my league and advanced to the Vegas bracket I got knocked out because of the line up I chose. I have no regrets regarding who I played. I had three stud WR's so I played them. So a few of them had bad weeks and one of the players on my bench had a carreer game. "What are you gonna do". One hundred out of one hundred times I would have played the same line up. If I see LeRon McClain on my bench go off for 20 points and I started Micheal Turner who had 10 and I lose by 5 points, I can live with that. If I see Micheal Turner on my bench sitting there with 20 points then I my friends am an idiot. So to sum this all up if you see me in your league, know that I will be bringing the big guns every game.

In My Last Post
In my last post I discussed how little my world was when it comes to friends with football knowledge. Well I will dedicate this post to my only friend who can keep up with me when it comes to the NFL. His name is Jeff, now I think I have more football knowledge than Jeff but he has more general sports knowledge than me. Jeff has a website you should all check out it is called www.lastangryfan.com. The site has some pretty funny stuff on it.
Every few month or so Jeff and I get together at a local beer hall; in this place you can order twenty draft beers at a time. We get very intoxicated and talk football. Some of our other friends who know more about computers, construction, map making, customs and car engines than I ever want to know, don’t like when we start to talk football because they get left out. Well now they know how I feel when they start to talk about their crap. The only difference is that football is the greatest thing in the world and it’s not crap. How can people not like football? Sometimes on Sundays when I am running around getting ready for the games and I hear people outside driving I say to myself “Don’t they know the games are about to start, what are they doing! Get home you will miss kick off”. Ok back to my original story. So Jeff and myself get together with friends for beers and we will say some football joke like “Did you hear the Bears can’t win with Grossman” (see last post if you don’t get the joke) and nobody else laughs because they don’t get the joke.
So in this post I want to raise my glass to Jeff, Here is to you MR. Football friend, when others guys are fixing cars, making maps or putting up dry wall, you sit by your television on Sundays watching all the games. So next time you see your friend Team Boogs, you can laugh at his immature football jokes.Pour yourself a glass of Bud Light and enjoy

In My Little World
If you don’t know what you are talking about regarding a subject then don’t pretend you do. In my little world I don’t have many people who love football as much as I do. It’s hard for me to find people who I can talk football with. That is why I love the message boards and blogs; they give me a forum to talk with people about football. The reason I am bringing this up is because of the many times I have had conversations with people about football who amaze me with how little they know. For example, the other day a friend of mine came over with his new girlfriend. He said to me she is a huge football fan. So I am thinking cool, something to talk to her about to get to know her. So they both come over and he says to me "this is so and so (I will keep names out of this) she loves football". So I say "who is your favourite team?" She replies "I am a huge Chicago Bears fan" ( I am thinking ok so far, at least she knows a team ) Then she says "the bears won’t win anything until they replace Rex Grossman at QB" ( This conversation happened two days ago ). I am thinking WTF, you are a huge Bears fan and you don’t know that they have Jay Cutler! If it was an average player that they signed in the offseason then maybe she would not know about it. After all not many people are as up to date on off season moves as Fantasy Football players are. But they made a huge deal and signed Jay Cutler; if you are even a passive fan of the NFL you would know about this deal. But she claims to be a HUGE Bears fan. So I say to her "well you know they signed Jay Cutler". I don’t even think she knew who he was because her reply was; "Well all I am saying is that with Rex Grossman they won’t win anything". I said "well I am pretty sure that since Rex is in Houston now that she won’t have to worry about that". Then I changed the subject. I have many stories about people pretending to be huge fans of certain teams. Now I have a test for them, I say oh your favourite team is (Insert team name here) Name me five players on the team. If they can’t then I say well when you learn that information come back and talk to me. I don’t really do this, but I would like to. I usually ask a few basic questions if they don’t know the answer then I will change the subject, so I don’t get frustrated. Maybe some of you can’t relate because all your friends are diehard fans. In my little world the die hards are few and far between.

So you drafted a team.
So you have drafted a team. What to do next ? I know, post the team on the FFOC forums for all the other players to see...... "Rate my team"....."I win the million"......."Best team drafted so far"...."Out of the 3 spot"...... These are some of the topic headings you will see. Then wait as people read your posts. Some of the players, can't wait to jump all over the other teams drafted. They use terms like, "no value there", "Your QB's are weak", "Matt Ryan in the second is way too early". Then there is my favorite one ( note sarcasm here ) a person posts their team and asks for an opinion, well instead of giving an opinion they posts their team in the same post. If this is you then maybe you did not understand the point of the post. What they are looking for is a critique of their team. What they are not looking for is a glory hound trying to one up them. Oh yeah and while I am at it, what is with the people that feel the need to post their team in various forums throughout the FFOC. Come on people we don't need to see your team all over the place. If you post it under "draft" and nobody replies, don't re post it other places. The fact is we have all probably seen your original post and just don't want to respond. Maybe your team is very ordinary and we just don't care about it. There are very intelligent fantasy football players out there. There are also annoying players out there. If someone says please rate my team then either do them a favour and rate them or don't. Just don't post your team. Instead just write LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME, because that is really what you are trying to say isn't it? Don't get me wrong when the post says " Drafted out of the 3 spot" the by all means post your team that you drafted out of the 2 spot or 3 spot or whatever spot you drafted from.

What do I know about Fantasy Football?
The answer is “I know very little” I think we all know very little. We all buy fantasy football magazines; join fantasy football websites, message boards, anything and everything that can help us get an advantage..... So we think! ...This year so far I have purchased four different fantasy magazines, joined two different fantasy websites. Now the reason that I say that we all know very little is the simple fact that even the so called experts can’t totally agree on some players. Yeah they all agree on AP going first overall (or somewhere near there). Most agree with each other when it comes to the top ten players at each position. That is not rocket science, most people who are passive football fans, and have never played fantasy football before can tell you who the best players are. After the top ten players at each position things get a little more confusing this is where the different so called experts are very different. Let’s take David Garrard for example, one magazine I have has him listed as the number ten overall QB another does not have him in the top twenty. Let’s look at Knowshon Moreno, one magazine I have has him rated the number fifteen running back and another has him rated the number forty five running back. How can two supposed experts be that far off in their projections? I can see maybe five or six spots, but thirty. Oh yeah and remember you have paid for this information. Good thing it’s an exact science...LOL. What does one guy see that the other does not? People are paying these guys for this information. How do you know who to trust? Well I will tell you who to trust....Drum Roll please.......You should trust your instincts. After all if you are wrong, at least it is YOU who was wrong. And if YOU are right, then YOU get to do all the bragging. Don’t get me wrong I use the cheat sheets from the magazines, mostly so I don’t forget any players when I am doing my own rankings and so I can compare my rankings against theirs. Just so you know I have David Garrard rated number 13 and Knowshon Moreno rated number 20. Are my rankings better than the ones I have read? NO, but they are my rankings and I will stick by them. I think that Moreno is a solid RB3 and a possible RB2 and I think that Garrard is a solid QB2 and a possible QB1. Drafts are going off all over the place right now. When you look at all the rosters usually the first five players will look very good and then the rest of the roster is a matter of speculation. Anybody with very little football knowledge can draft an ok team, but it is the in season management that will be the difference between the winners and the losers. So my final advice to you is to get all the information you can get, but at the end of the day remember IT IS YOUR CALL. A lot of people will be sitting in front of their computers during the draft with a magazine open and using those magazines projections for their drafts. So separated yourself from the masses and do your own projections. Remember that these experts maybe in your league and the lists they have posted might not be their best work; they might be saving that for their own teams. How nice is it to beat an expert at his own craft. Hey who didn`t know that Kurt Warner, Micheal Turner, and DeAngelo Williams were going to be stellar. I am sure all the experts knew. Try and find this years star.

Addicted to the FFOC
I think I am addicted to the FFOC. I am on the message boards everyday. I actually get upset when there are no new posts for me to read. I am constantly looking for Qschool drafts I can sign up for. I look at the drafts that I have already done and try and think how many points each player will average. I look at the other teams in my league and critique them. Then there is the draft......ohh the draft. I love to draft. The different strategies, do I take QB/QB or RB/RB or WR/WR or a combination of each. The draft is so thrilling. Some people surprise me taking players far before their time, some people take the guy I wanted right before I was going to draft him. When I draft I will usually have 4 or 5 players lined up to draft so I don't need to scramble when its my pick. Sometimes I will have 5 players lined up with 5 teams to pick before me and wouldn't you know all 5 are picked. Then I am like WTF, but it is exciting.
I draft under the names Team Boogs 1, Team Boogs 2, etc. I don't know how many teams I will run this year maybe 20 or so.
Since I am addicted to FFOC, I thought what better way to fill my fixation then blog about it. I could talk fantasy football forever. My only problem is that none of my friends love football as much as I do. So these blogs and forums help me to get my fix.
Since my girlfreind doesn't want to hear about it. My friends don't want to hear about it and my familly disowns me during Football season I will finally have a place to talk about it. That place is right here. So thank you Stan and the rest of the FFOC for the opportunity to blog.
Check back every few days I have alot to say........I need to scatch the itch........Gotta go now I need to see if there are any Q drafts I can get in on.
