Cut Line

Well its week 12, week 2 of the cut line......I have 4 - Q teams left and 1 - Vegas Bracket team left. Here is how they stand this week. 3 of my Q teams will make it in the fourth is needing some help. My Tier team is the one that I am worried about. I have a little over 91 points with Wes Welker to play tonight. With the cut line at 89 and some high scoring between the Saints and the Pats the cut line could move up fast. I am holding my breath....but lets face it this will be exciting.................To Be Continued.............

I suck

Well I have not posted in a while this is due to the fact that I suck. I have 48 teams all together this year. I was hoping to qualify about 1/4 of them to their championship games, giving me about 12 teams in their championship games and if I could win half of those I would have 6 teams in the Vegas and Qschool brackets. Well sad to say that I only have 2 powerhouse teams that will easily win their leagues. And about 7 that should make week 10. The rest of my teams are bullsh*t. This has been a wacky year so far I had one team go 0-6 to start and is now 6-6 and just 2 games out of it. I had another team that was in the top 50 after weeks 1 & 2 now sitting in 7th in my league. The one mistake I made this year is drafting so many teams. It is very hard to manage 48 teams. I should have kept the number to about 10 teams. With 48 teams I miss things from time to time, like last week when I sat Visante and Played Witten. WTF....With last minute injuries and news its just too hard for me to play 48 teams. Some of you other more experiencd players may be able too but not this guy. So I have learned more this year and hope to come back stronger next year. Unless my 2 powerhouse teams get on a roll...................We shall see

Week 2

Week two was not as kind to Team Boogs. I had a few good teams this week but mostly bad. So without further adue here is my nest team this week.

QB - Aaron Rodgers - Ok week, no completions to Greg Jennings means less points
RB - Micheal Turner - Good week, what I expected from him when I drafted him
RB - Chris Johnson - Great week, This guy will have great weeks this year and average
WR - Dwayne Bowe - He is solid
WR - Eddie Royal - Very dissapointed so far in Royal
WR - Laverneous Coles - Better week than firts week - Could trun out to be a good WR3
TE - Dallas Clark- I know when Gonzales went down he would get more looks....but WOW
OP - David Garrard - Solid week in a loss for his team
K - Ryan Longwell - Does the job as a kicker
DST - New York Jets - Great defense this year

So total points just over 170 points. Alot of my other teams need to pick it up.

The first week

What I am going to do for the first few weeks of this blog is list my best team for the week points wise. So here is my highest scoring team for the week. Along with my thoughts on the players performance for the week

Qb - Matt Schaub - He sucked the big one
RB - Adrian Peterson - What can I say, he is the best
RB - Reggie Bush - He looks to scared out there don't like him
WR -Greg Jennings - He is awsome
WR - Reggie Wayne - He did all he could and will have many games like this, he is gold
WR - Dwayne Bowe - About what I expected, the only bright spot on the Chiefs
TE - Dalls Clark - Not a good week for him, with Gonzales down he should get more looks
OP - Carson Palmer - He sucked the bog one also
K - Nick Folk - He is a kicker, what do you want from me, I remembered to start one
DST - Philadelphia Eagles - What can I say this weeks MVP

Overall 170 points, not bad for week one. I need Palmer and Schaub to step it up or I will be dead with this team. The odds are that Philly won't score that well agin. I will play the same line up next week except for benching Bush in favor on Cedric Benson

Sunday

Finally its the first Sunday of the 2009 football season. I am very happy that this day has arrived. Last year I had one team in the FFOC this year I went a little overboard drafting 35 Q-School teams and 13 Tier teams. I got a little obsessed with drafting this year. The one problem I am going to have is managing 48 teams. What did I get myself into! Well its not really going to be that big of a problem since I am obsessed with this whole thing, I am on here for a few hours everyday anyway, at least now I have something to do. Of my 48 teams I have about 6 six teams that I hate, 14 teams that will have to wait and see on and the rest I love. With 48 teams I had the luxury of going every way imaginable. For the teams I like the most I went QB`s and WR`s early and RB`s late. I think that to win you need to play 2 stud QB`s with at least 2 stud WR`s and find some RB`s later than can be this years Matt Forte. So on my teams with the stud QB`s and WR`s I took guys like Chris Wells, Donald Brown, Ray Rice in the later rounds and was able to get Ronnie Brown, Ryan Grant, Pierre Thomas, Kevin Smith in rounds 5 and 6.
For my WR3 I was targeting a few players that I was able to get in the 9 to 13 rounds. Those players are Derrick Mason, Santonio Holmes Santana Moss and Donnie Avery. I really like the firts two as WR3`s. With all the teams I like alot the one thing that they all have in common is an elite TE. Either Witten, Gates, Gonzo, or Clark. So we will see what the outcome of my drafts and my stategies turn out this year.

Good luck to you all and let the games begin

What I have learned

We are about a week away from the start of the NFL season. This has been an interesting offseason. So far there has been the Brett Farve saga, the Micheal Vick signing, the Plaxico sentencing, Oh yeah and the preseason games. So what have I learned so far this offseason. The first thing I have learned is that I know longer like nor want to hear about Brett Farve anymore. Does Brett think he is bigger than the game?. What burns me most about Brett is how most of the NFL people that I hear talk anout Farve think the guy can still play. I do know one thing right now Aaron Rodgers is a way better than Brett, so cheers to you Green Bay for making the right choice. I hope that Brett has a horrible season, gets benched and goes away. The second thing I have learned is that I thought I would not like Micheal Vick anymore but the guy so far in my opinion is trying and I kind of hope he has a good year. The third thing that I have learned is that I think Plaxico got what he deserved. He pretty much got sentenced for being STUPID. When you are a highly paid professional athelete then maybe you should not go anywhere that you feel you may need a gun to protect yourself. Good job New York for creating a law then sticking to it no matter what the status of the convicted. The last thing I have learned is that it gonna be a awsome year in the NFL. So many more questions will be answered and so many more laws will be broken.

Some final messages to certain players.

To Pacman Jones, " If you get cut from Dallas call Buffalo, if they won't take you, its over dude"
To Marshawn Lynch " You have 3 games to think about what you have done during this free time, try and stay out of trouble"
To Micheal Vick " Cock fighting rings are out too, Sorry man"
To Brett Farve " If you throw more than 22 interceptions retire, (That should make sure he is gone he threw 20 last year)" But more importantly JUST RETIRE
And finally to TO " You play for Buffalo now.............Sorry man"
